Video: Thanksgiving at Nyumbani – check out the smiles and happiness you spread!

Enjoy the Nyumbani Thanksgiving celebration with us. We can’t thank you enough for making this a reality!
These kids are adorable and amazing with all the work they do at school and at home each day. They have rice, beans or maize 361 days a year, but this year you gave them a special meal of thanks. Plus, we were able to give lessos (traditional pieces of cloth used as skirts) to all the girls and the grandmothers in the village!
Next up – shoes for Christmas for all 720 kids and handmade dolls for the young ones. You should have heard the cheer in the social hall when we told them we were raising money for shoes!
Best of all we have almost raised the $10,000 needed for another shallow well for the village – which will help them grow more food and become self-sufficient.

What a great Thanksgiving video! What are you looking for in terms of the Christmas shoes and dolls, monetary donations or donations of shoes? I have been following along with my 7 year old son, and though we do not have much, he can see how lucky we are to have what we do. I think this is a great project!
