Board of Trustees
As a non-profit corporation, Round the World with Us is governed by a Board of Trustees that insures the corporation is well managed, in compliance with its mission, its by laws and the laws and regulations applicable to non-profits.
Our Board of Trustees includes four officers and up to seven General Trustees. If you have relevant expertise, a passion for education and world affairs issues and are in interested in serving on our Board, please contact us. We are also putting together a group of experts in related fields, such as education, volunteering, and international development, which will be available to the Board of Trustees for periodic advice and guidance.
Doug Tilden – President
Doug is an expert in international business and strategic planning. He works closely with many non-profits whose missions relate to international and US education, global affairs issues, arts, and culture.
Jennifer Klahn – Vice President
Jennifer has lived and traveled throughout the world and has a passion for global issues and cultural awareness. She is an expert in development and fundraising and serves on the Boards of several non-profits related to education and culture.
Teresa Keller – Executive Director and Treasurer
Teresa is leaving her job as Executive Director of the Archaeological Institute of America to set out on this round the world adventure with her children. She has 20 years of non-profit experience in accounting, finance, management, fundraising and strategic planning.
Anna Davis – Secretary
Anna Davis has a passion for the preservation and conveyance of the human experience through the use of documentary video as a medium and art form. She has been the founder and director of Open Eye Media since 2004. She has traveled throughout the country and globe documenting a variety of events and projects for a wide array of clients. Anna currently resides in Brooklyn, NY where she enjoys meditation, running and practicing yoga.
Jennifer Manglass – Trustee
Jennifer will provide a teenage perspective for the educational content we produce as we travel. She is taking a gap year for the world trip and is excited to volunteer, raise money for humanitarian projects, and share her experiences with others. She has volunteered in India and has a keen interest in writing, culture and history. Jennifer will play a key role in preparing interesting content for teachers and students to use in the classroom.
